50th ANNUAL MOUNTAIN PLAINS MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE (MPMC) “INFORMATION, THE LIFEBLOOD OF ORGANIZATIONS.” CALL FOR SUBMISSIONSSubmission deadline: July 11, 2008 What: Share your intellectual works and thoughts at the MPMC in 2008. When: October 9 – 11, 2008. Where: Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho and hosted by the Informatics Research Institute (IRI) Tracks: Information systems, accounting, management, marketing, finance, economics, pedagogy, and informatics (the sciences concerned with gathering, manipulating, storing, retrieving and classifying recorded information) Submissions:
All papers will go through a blind review process for acceptance in the proceedings. We encourage students and practitioners to submit their works to this conference. Types of Submissions:Papers/Case-studies/Abstracts: Selected papers are in the proceedings on CD. Conference sessions allow authors approximately 10 minutes to present their paper, case study or abstract to an audience followed by a five minute discussion period. Each accepted submission is assigned a session and discussants assigned a session. Symposia: The body of the proposal should include a summary of the session and proposed format. If accepted, the contact author should provide the track chair with agreements of participation for each participant. Panels, Roundtables, Workshops, etc: Suggestions for sessions are encouraged. These sessions should provide a description of the target audience, proposed session content and format, participants, and a clear description of how the session will add value to the target audience. Persons who propose such sessions are responsible for putting them together and sending relevant information to the appropriate track chair or conference chair.
